Admissions

Overview:

Families are encouraged to observe one of our classrooms prior to enrolling. Families are asked to submit an inquiry to the school using the following links:

Toddler Inquiry

Primary Inquiry

Elementary Inquiry

Once an inquiry is processed families will be invited to schedule an observation and/or school tour via an online system.

If families wish to continue with the process of enrollment after the observation, a deposit is required to hold a space for their child in the program for the Fall. (Rolling admission is possible if there is space in the program after the start of school in the Fall.) After a deposit has been placed families are asked to schedule a half-hour classroom visit, and for the child entering the 3-6year old program, a half-hour home visit with their child’s Guide. The classroom visit and home visit provide familiarity and comfort with both the environment and the Guide before beginning school and lays the foundation for trust.

Children in the Toddler and Primary begin the school year with an orientation schedule. This abbreviated schedule allows for an easy transition into the environment. Children in Elementary generally begin the program with a regular schedule.

Process:

  1. Observe
We encourage families to observe our classrooms prior to enrolling. Observations generally take place in the morning (around 9:15am) and last for about 30 minutes. The school provides guidelines that will enhance the experience. A Montessori trained faculty member conducts a follow-up interview to an Observation either in person, directly after the Observation or sometime soon after, by telephone. Observations can be scheduled once an inquiry form is received.

  2. Submit an application
Applications can be submitted following the inquiry submission and observation.

  3. Make a program deposit
Toddler Program requires a $100 deposit yearly for enrollment.

The Children’s House and Elementary Programs are designed as multiyear developmental programs and require a $300 deposit upon enrollment into each program level.

  4. Receive confirmation of enrollment from Montessori office
After confirmation of program placement families will receive appropriate information and paperwork to complete enrollment and schedule home (for toddler and children’s house programs), and classroom visit and receive information about orientation schedules.
